在十二月時多媒體播放工具 XBMC 推出了首個 XBMC for Android Beta 版本，經過一個多月時間 XBMC 終於推出了首個 “End User Friendly” 版本。
這個新版本較 Beta 版本改進了很多，無論操作界面還是流暢度都提升了不少。

留意，要使用 XBMC for Android 需要在手機先安裝 MX Player (可從 Google Play Store 下載)，並啟動 MX Player 最少一次才繼續，跟著再下載 XBMC for Android 的 APK 檔案進行安裝。
