在 6月時，Google 購入了 Waze 公司，強化 Google Maps 和 Navigation 導航功能。Waze 最大特式是由用戶回饋分享路面資訊，駕駛人仕就可獲知即時路面資訊，交通意外, 封路消息等等。
今天，Google 在 Google+ 表示會為 Google Maps 推出更新，並會將 Waze 擴展至 46個國家和地區，不過 Google 未有透露是那些國家/地區。
