Google Glass Explorer Edition 已經終止，但 Google Glass 這個項目其實未有結速，它只是從 Google X Labs 項目中畢業發展為一個獨立的項目。一年多前 Google 就宣佈跟意大利知名眼鏡廠商 Luxottica 合作，開發新一代的 Google Glass。Luxottica 是多個知名品牌背後的生產商，包括 Ray-Ban, Oakley, Arnette 等。

最近 Luxottica CEO 在股東會中透露，正在研發下一代的 Google Glass，而第三代的 Google Glass 亦進入規劃階段。但就未有透露確實的公佈時間，會不會是 Google I/O 呢？還記得當年在 Google I/O 上，Google Glass 的出場十分震撼，跳降傘, 再走入會場。
