Apex Launcher 曾經是其中一個最受歡迎的 Launcher 之一，跟 Nova Launcher 可說是不相上下各有捧場客，Play Store 內累積下載量已超過 1000萬次。不過，Apex Launcher 自 2015年中起已沒有任何更新，好像完全停頓了。終於經過兩年停頓時間後，Apex Launcher 再有消息。
Apex Launcher 貼出了消息表示，將會在5月推出更新。Apex Launcher 將會有全新的開發和技術支援團隊，並會加入更多功能，亦會支援 Android 7 Nougat 及之後版本。開發工作會持續，之後再會加入更多功能，並會在之後的版本推出。
Apex Launcher will release an update in May, to bring our current version up to date. More features are in the works now and will be released in the future updates after May.
