Google 每月都會為 Android 系統放出 Security Update，修正系統內的漏洞提升安全。而手機廠商收到 Android Monthly Security Update 後也會為旗下手機推送安全更新，當然旗艦機, 高階機和新機都會較多有更新，至於一些低階機以及舊型號就會被遺忘。
LG 也一樣，當收到 Google 放出的 Security Patches 更新也會連同 LG 自家的 Security Update 推送至用家的手機。最近在官網 Security Bulletins 提到，Security Maintenance Releases 只限於 G5, G6, V Series, Q Series 和 X Series。部份型號已不再有 Monthly Security Update，如 LG G3, G4, G4 Stylus, Stylo 等。
LG Security Update Models1 :
– G series (G5, G6), V series(V10, V20, V30) , Q Series(Q6, Q8) , X Series(X300, X400, X500, X cam)
若果你是 LG G3, G4 的用家就要留意，手機不再有 Security Maintenance Releases。
