過去 Google 旗下親生仔 Nexus 以至第一代 Pixel，都會有兩年的 Android 系統更新以及三年的安全更新，但 Pixel 2 和 Pixel 2 XL 似乎有點不同。

在 Google Support Page 上，就清楚寫明 Pixel 2 (2017) 會有三年的 Android 系統更新，直至 2020年10月，而安全更新則仍然維持是三年。
對用家當然是好消息呢。這亦反映出 Android 系統改進，以至新的硬件配合可以讓 Google 為裝置提供更長的系統更新。
