WhatsApp Status 功能早前已在 Beta 版本推出作测试，最新 WhatsApp 就公布正式推出 Status 功能。
WhatsApp Status 就如 Snapchat 或者 Instagram Stories 功能。用家在 Status 内可以分享相片, GIFs 或影片，并在上面写上文字, 绘画又或加上 Emojis，Status 内容只会限于用家的联络人所看到，用家亦可以在隐私设定限制谁可看到 Status Updates。而 Status Updates 亦会在 24小时内自动消失。
根据 WhatsApp Blog，Status 功能会在今天起正式推出。但应是由 Server Side 推送，所以可能还要等一些时间才看到。
Starting today, we are rolling out an update to status, which allows you to share photos and videos with your friends and contacts on WhatsApp in an easy and secure way. Yes, even your status updates are end-to-end encrypted.
