自從 CyanogenMod 的開發人Steve Kondik 獲 Samsung 聘為 Software Engineer 後，很多網友就擔心 CyanogenMod 往後的發展。而開發團隊成員之一 Kmobs 在 CyanogenMod Blog 內發表了一篇 “The State of CyanogenMod” 網誌，講述了最新狀況。
首先，CyanogenMod 並無出售給 Samsung 或其他公司，Samsung 亦無要求 Cyanogen 停止 Custom ROM 的開發。而 CyanogenMod 團隊亦沒有停止開發。
I’ve been reading rumors that CyanogenMod’s core philosophy is changing, that we’ve been sold, or that we’ve given up and I want to go on record saying none of this is true at all.
若果你有留意或使用 CyanogenMod ROM，應會發覺 CyanogenMod 的步伐好像慢了下來。其中 CM 7.1 自從 6 月尾推出第一個 Release Candidate RC1 後就沒有任何進展。
這是由於 CyanogenMod 團隊內的成員各自忙著自己的私人事務，其中 Steve Kondik 就忙著搬家，為新工作需要搬到另一城市居住。其他成員，有的忙著開發其他 Apps，有的則需要應付學業。
網誌最後亦提到他們正在整理另一個 CM7.1 的 RC 版本。大家耐心等候吧！
