Samsung 在公佈4部新手機同時，亦發佈了手機命名規則，大家可以更清楚瞭解手機是旗艦機，中階還是入門機。
所有手機都會給予 Galaxy 的名字，並分了五個不同分類。
– “S” (Super Smart)
Devices at the very pinnacle of Samsung’s mobile portfolio.
最高規格的旗艦機，如 Galaxy S。
– “R” (Royal/Refined)
Premium category models, a combination of power, performance and productivity
高階手機，在表現效能各方面都較優勝。
– “W” (Wonder)
High quality, strategic models, perfect for those seeking a balance between style and performance.
高質素手機，表覝效能不俗。
– “M” (Magical)
High-performance models at an economic price-point
經濟實惠的型號，有較佳效能。
– “W” (Young)
Entry models or strategic models for emerging markets or a younger audience more sensitive to price
平價入門機。
另外，還有三個命名標記用作識別。
– “Pro” 俱備 QWERTY 鍵盤
– “Plus” 升級版
– “LTE” 支援 4G
