Adobe 在 Blog 發文表示，隨著 Flash Player 11.1 for Android 稍後推出，Adobe 將不會再為 Flash Player for Mobile 開發，但仍舊會支援錯誤修正和保安更新。
We will no longer continue to develop Flash Player in the browser to work with new mobile device configurations (chipset, browser, OS version, etc.) following the upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1 for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook. We will of course continue to provide critical bug fixes and security updates for existing device configurations.
Adobe 表示大部份的流動裝置已經支援 HTML5，HTML5 將會成為一個很好的製作和發送內容的制式。Adobe 將會跟各大公司，推動 HTML5 在流動裝置的應用。將來 Flash for Mobile 的重點會集中在讓 Flash 開發人員可以利用 Adobe AIR 製合 Apps。
HTML5 is now universally supported on major mobile devices, in some cases exclusively. This makes HTML5 the best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms.

Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores.
這個消息看上去很震憾，但對用家其實沒有什麼。互聯網上仍有大量網站使用 Flash，利用 Flash 作影片播放，Flash Player 仍然會存在 Android 手機內，大家也可依舊在手機 Browser 上行 Flash。只是長遠趨勢是應用 HTML5，Adobe 把資源投放在 HTML5 上也正常不過。
