Acer ANZ 公佈將會在四月為澳洲和新西蘭兩地的 Acer A500 平板提供更新，升級至 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich。

至於其化地區的 Acer Iconia Tab A500 何時會升級，則未有任何消息。”四月”，希望其他地區也會在相近時間推出更新，又或期待澳紐當地推出後，一眾 Custom ROM Developer 出手。畢竟出了官方 ROM 升級，Custom ROM 開發工作會較為容易進行。
