美國華爾街日報 Wall Street Journal 報道，Google 將會推出名為 “Drive” 的雲端儲存服務。
“Drive” 可容許用家將相片，影片或檔案儲存至 Google 的伺服器內，並可隨時透過接上網絡的裝置進行存取。
現在，市場上已有多家雲端儲存服務，較知名的有 Dropbox 和 Box.net。這兩間公司都跟不同的手機製商商合作，為手機用戶提供免費的儲存空間。相信 Google 加入市場會對現有的公司造成一定的競爭。

Google 的 Drive 服務除了可讓用家存取相片，影片和檔案，亦可跟其他用家分享。只要將檔案上載至雲端儲存，再將連結跟友人分享，而不需直接電郵檔案。
快將推出，免費使用
WSJ 表示 Google Drive 會在未來數星期或數月推出，而大部份個人和商業用家都會免費，只會向儲存大量檔案的用家收費。
The Google service, which is expected to launch in the coming weeks or months, will be free for most consumers and businesses. Google will charge a fee to those who want to store a large amount of files, the people familiar with the matter said.
暫時仍未有太多的詳情，但 Google 推出雲端儲存，若可整合至旗下的 Google Music, Picasa, Google Docs 以至 Gmail 的 Attachment 儲存，相信一定會頗受歡迎。
