自從 Google 收購了 Motorola 手機業務後，大家都十分期待 Motorola 推出的新手機，不過一直都無任何動靜。Motorola 好像停止了般，只是偶然有一些傳聞流出。
Google 剛發佈了 2013年第一季的財務報告，而 CEO Larry Page 亦談及了 Motorola 手機業務。他表示剛看到一些 Motorola 將會推出的新產品，並對 Motorola 正在開發的產品極感興趣，但就未有透露產品的詳情。
不過，他亦講及了一些關於手機裝置的看法。第一樣是手機電池，他指手機應可用上一整天而不需要後備電的。另一樣是手機的耐用和堅固度，屏幕不會因倒瀉水又或手機跌下而失靈。
Think about your device. Battery life is a challenge for most people. You shouldn’t need to carry around a charger to make it through the day. If your kid spills their drink on your tablet, the screen shouldn’t die. And when you drop your phone, it shouldn’t shatter.
Larry Page 亦表示 Motorola 的新產品，在這幾方面都有很大的潛力，而過去一年 Motorola 亦有很大的進展。
Having just seen Motorola’s upcoming products myself, I’m real excited about the potential there. In just under a year, they have accomplished a lot, and have impressive velocity and execution.
Larry Page 所講的都是很大路的東西 “電量” 和 “堅固耐用/三防”，沒有實質的消息透露。有關電池方面相信跟 Motorola 之前的 MAXX 系列相關，MAXX 系列產品本身亦十分成功，續航力上遠勝其他廠商的產品，在市場已有一定的捧場客。
