不少 Nexus 5 用家都發現當手機使用相機相關的 Apps (尤其是 Skype) 時，CPU 用量都會明顯持續提升了不少，都是來自一個 mm-qcamera-daemon process，在電池用量中就會見到 mm-qcamera-daemon 佔了最大比重。在 Android Issue Tracker，已有數百人標記了這個 Issue (#60058)。
Google Project Member 昨晚終於回應了這個 Bug，表示已經修復了有關問題，並會在下一個更新推出有關的修正。不過就未知何時推出，因應仍要進行相關的測試。
We believe we have fixes for the current high CPU reports on N5 due to mm-qcamera-daemon, and they will be included in the next maintenance update.
這位 Project Member 表示，這個 Bug 是沿於相機相關的程序，由於一般相機 Apps 只會在運行時才存取相機功能，所以只會在運行相機 Apps 時才會引發個 Bug 出現。不過最近 Skype 推出了更新，會在背景程序存取相機功能，因而引致這個 Bug 不斷被 Trigger，所以這個問題近期出現得更加頻密 (Skype 本身是沒有問題的)。
More recently, there’s been a significant increase in the frequency of reported problems. These may be related to a recent update to Skype, which seems to access the camera regularly from its background service in some way that triggers this bug (note, we don’t currently believe there’s a bug in Skype itself).
暫時靠 Reboot 解決
在修正未推出之前，要解決 “mm-qcamera-daemon 高 CPU 用量” 問題只有將手機重新啟動才可。
Until then, rebooting the phone is the only way to stop the high CPU usage/lack of camera function once it starts.
