Microsoft 早前透過 Google+ 為 Office for Android 推出了測試，參與者要申請填寫裝置資料，經篩選才可下載測試。現在 Microsoft 在 Play Store 放出了Microsoft Office for Android Preview 版本，有 Word, Excel 和 PowerPoint，可以免費下載。
只限 4.4+ 平板
這個 Microsoft Office for Android Preview 版本是為平版裝置優化的，所以也只限 大於 7的平板下載，還要配搭 ARM based 處理器，有 1GB RAM，並且是要運行 Android 4.4 KitKat 或 5.0 Lollipop 才可。
