由一月開始 Samsung 會開始 Android 5.0 Lollipop 升級。有一名 Samsung 員工貼出一封內部文件，內裏提及一月開開展 Android 5.0 Lollipop 升級，並提示員工相關的升級程序。
根據這位 Samsung 員工在 Reddit 放出的消息，國際版本將會將會較先獲得升級，手機最先會是 S5, 之後是 Note 4 和 Note Edge。之後一輪會是 Note 3 和 S4。之後就會開展平板的升級，應會是 Galaxy Tab S 行先。
S5’s are getting the most attention for the update and will be the first target for launch, followed by the Note 4 and Edge. After that, they are expecting the Note 3 and S4 to be the next wave, and then after that attention will turn to tablets.
不過這位不俱名員工亦表明，這些並不是 Samsung 官方消息來的。
