在四月時，Whatsapp 推出的 2.12.45 版本加入了備份功能，可以將對話內份備份至 Google Drive，但之後推出的版本又再將這個功能隱藏。
終於 Whatsapp 的Google Drive 備份功能正式登場。在最新的版本內，用家可以設定備份至 Google Drive，每月, 每週, 每日, 又或手動進行，亦可一併備份影片。
So starting today, WhatsApp for Android lets you create a private backup of your chat history, voice messages, photos, and videos in Google Drive. And once you do, you can restore everything on a new device with just a couple taps.

不過似乎 Play Store 內的版本還未更新。若果你的 Whatsapp 還未有這功能 (就連 Play Store 更新也沒有)，可以到 Whatsapp 官網下載最新的 2.12.303 版本自行安裝。

若果未曾設定 Google Drive Backup，開啟 App 時就會有提示。在 “設定 > 對話和通話 > 對話備份” 亦可找到 Google Drive 備份設定。
