Google 過往一直都把 Google Phone App (Dialer) 以及 Contacts 聯絡人 App 整合在系統內。若要更新，就必需跟在系統內進行更新，十分不方便。
只限 Marshmallow
終於 Google 將這兩個 Apps 分拆出來，直接放上 Google Play Store。之後進行更新就可以透過 Play Store 進行。雖然兩個 Apps 已放上 Play Store，但現在仍只限運行 Android 6.0 Marshmallow 的 Nexus 裝置以及 Google Play Edition 裝置才可更新。
說回今次更新，Google Phone 就由 v2.2 升至 v2.3.12，並加入了 “來電封鎖” 功能。封鎖的電話號碼會被攔阻，但對方仍可錄製語音留言。
至於 Google Contacts 就簡化了聯絡人編輯功能，可以將同一個聯絡人不同的 Contacts 資料整合一起。
