Instagram 在三月時曾透露，將會為 Instagram Posts 推出一個全新的 Algorithm，會按用家的興趣, 朋友關係等為 Posts 決定重要性作排次列序，用家在 Instagram 看 Posts 就不再是按時間列出。當時這消息一推出，可以說所有 ig 用家都十分憤怒，認為這會令到 ig 很難使用。

雖然用家表達強烈不滿，但 Instagram 最新就在官方 Blog 公佈，正式推出這個新方式，用家會在未來一個月陸續看到這個新體驗。
The order of photos and videos in your feed will be based on the likelihood you’ll be interested in the content, your relationship with the person posting and the timeliness of the post.
You’ll see this new experience as we roll it out over the coming month.
Instagram 指隨著用家數量增長，用家平均會遺掉了 70% 的 Post feeds 沒有觀看這些相片和影片。所以他們採用了新 Algorithm，將一些 “重要” 的 Posts 排在最前，不再按時間排次序。Instagram 表示，在過去幾個月他們於特定用戶進行測中，他們測試這些用戶都較多 “like” 相片, 更多 Comment 和有更高的參與度。
在 Instagram Blog 內，有不少 Notes 留言都是寫 “Dont do this”, “horrible feature”, “gonna stop using”, “want chronological feed back”。大家沒有選擇，只有接受，因為是沒有選項可關閉的。
