Samsung Galaxy S9 和 S9+ 公佈後，DxOMark 亦為新機進行相機部份評測。
經過評測後，Galaxy S9+ 在相片拍攝取得 104分，而影片拍攝就有 91分，合計取得總分 99分，成為最高分的智能電話相機。99分是史上最高分，勝過 Google Pixel 2 的 98分，以及 Apple iPhone X 的 97分。
DxOMark 測試了一系列不同的拍攝狀況，包括強光, 低光, Zoom 等，並會就不同範疇包括曝光, 對比, 色彩, 自動對焦, 雜訊, 閃燈等進行評分。DxOMark 指 S9 Plua 的相機沒有明顯的弱點，並且在相片和影片拍攝的各項測試中都表現優異。

In both still and video modes, it performs well across the board, delivering consistently good photo and video image quality in all light and shooting situations, thus earning itself our highest DxOMark Mobile score to date.
那又不是完全沒缺點。Galaxy S9 在拍攝相片時會偶然會出現曝光不穩定，並會有色差和欠缺銳利的情況。而影片拍時在大部份情況下，都會出現細緻度不足的情況。
