之前一直指 Samsung 會在明年初公佈首部 Foldable Smartphone 折疊式屏幕手機，但最新 Samsung 高層, DJ Koh 就表示 Samsung 會在今年內公佈 Foldable Smartphone。
十一月公佈
Samsung 手機業務 CEO, DJ Koh, 接受美國 CNBC 訪問時表示，Samsung 會在今年稍後時間公佈 Foldable Smartphone，應會在今年十一月舉行的 Samsung Developer Conference 中亮相。訪問中，他亦有談及 Foldable Smartphone 的定位。
他表示，用家使用 Foldable Smartphone，將手機摺起來也可應付日常使用，但若要瀏覽時就可以將手機打開。但將手機打開跟一般的平板有甚麼分別，將摺機打開使用會為用家帶來甚麼好處，跟平板有何不同體驗。他指出，每部裝置每個功能都應該為顧客來帶有用有意思的訊息。當顧客使用這部 Foldable Smartphone，顧客就會明白點解 Samsung 要製作出 Foldable Smartphone。
So every device, every feature, every innovation should have a meaningful message to our end customer. So when the end customer uses it, (they think) ‘wow, this is the reason Samsung made it’.
