Google Play Store 將會更改應用程式評分的計算方式，並會在 8月開始以展示新的計算評分。
更重視較新評分
在 Google Play Store 內，用家可以為應用程式評分 1分最低 5分最高，所有用家的評分都是平等的，綜合各個用家的評分就可得出應用程式的評分。而 Google 推出的新計算方式會更重視較新的用家評分，即是話較新的評分會佔較高比重，而較舊的評分比重較低。
Many of you told us that you want a rating that reflects a more current version of your app, not what it was years ago — and we agree. So instead of a lifetime cumulative value, your Google Play Store rating will be recalculated to give more weight to your most recent ratings.
這個做法可以鼓勵開發商改進應用程式推出更新，亦可避免一些應用程式食老本，依靠著過往的高評分。對用家而言，新評分評分更能反映出 Apps 最新推出版本是否好用。
Google 未有透露新舊評分的比重，開發人員現在已可以在 Google Play Console 內查看 Apps 的新舊評分。舊的評分命名為 “生命週期評分”，就如下圖。
