Google Pixel 3a 相機跟其他 Pixel 系列一樣有 Google Playground 功能，可以在相片中加入 Playmoji AR 公仔例如 Avengers, Pikachu 等。
不過 Pixel 3a 只可以在機背的主相機使用 Google Playground 而前置相機就不能用，在 Playground 界面上亦欠缺了前後相機轉換的按鈕，原本應在左下角位置。Pixel 系列其他裝置 Pixel 3, Pixel 2 等等都可以前後相機使用 Playground 的。
早前 Google 代表在 I/O 2019 上就表示正在改善和提升 Pixel 3a 相機功能。Google 在 Pixel 3a 推出時只做了後置相機支援 AR 功能，現在就作做前置相機部份，預計會在未來數星期推出更新，前置相機也可使用 Google Playground，屆時 Pixel 3a 用家就可以跟 Ironman 自拍。
