Google I/O 每年一度都會在 5月舉行，早前因應武漢肺炎情況，Google 已宣佈取消 Google I/O 的實體活動。現在更進一步宣佈今年I/O 大會全部取消，就連 Online Event 亦不會舉行。
Online Event 都取消
隨著武漢肺炎疫情不斷擴展肆虐，美國加洲疫情爆發，當地亦採取更多防疫措施，包括 Shelter-in-place 要所有人盡可能留在家中。Google 為保障開發者, 員工和當地社區健康，並配合三藩市灣區的 Shelter-in-place 措施，因此宣佈今年不會舉行任何形式的 I/O 大會。
Out of concern for the health and safety of our developers, employees, and local communities — and in line with “shelter in place” requirements by the local Bay Area government — we sadly will not be holding an I/O event in any capacity this year.
Google 表示當前最重要是將協助大眾應對當前的挑戰，並保障大眾安全。Google 仍會透過 Developer Blogs 和 Community Forums 分享 Android Updates。
