Qualcomm 公佈了最新 Snapdragon 690 處理器，是首顆 Snapdragon 6 Series 處理器支援 5G 網絡，可望將 5G 帶進中階裝置。
Snapdragon 690 處理器跟上一代 Snapdragon 675 同樣採 2+6 組合，時脈亦一樣。但 2粒 Main Cores 採用了 Cortex-A77 架構，即是 2x Kryo 560 Cortex-A77 2.0GHz + 6x Kryo 560 Cortex-A55，效能較 Snapdragon 675 提升 20%。至於 GPU 則採用 Adreno 619L，圖像處理效能亦提升 60%。
相機支援方面，Snapdragon 690 採用了 Spectra 355L，可以支援最高 4800萬像素單鏡頭相機或 3200萬+1600萬像素雙鏡頭相機。另外還有第五代 Qualcomm AI Engine 和 Hexagon Tensor Accelerator，人工智能效能會有70%改進。最後還有採用了 Snapdragon X51 Modem，支援 LTE 和 5G 網絡，5G Sub-6 上下載最高可達 1200Mbps 和 2500Mbps。
預計下半年就會有採用 Snapdragon 690 處理器的新機推出，可以預計會有價格較便宜的 5G 電話供應市場，HMD Global (即是 Nokia), LG, Motorola, Sharp 等都會推出 採用 Snapdragon 690 處理器的電話。
