过两天就是一年一度的 Google I/O 大会，而 Android 主管 Sundar Pichai 在 Google I/O 前接受了 Wired 访问，当中谈及了今年 Google I/O 的预期。
上年 Google I/O 展示了多项新产品 Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus Q 都是吸引消费者的注目，另外还有从天而降的 Google Glass。不过 Pichai 表示，今年跟过往不同，焦点不是放在硬件又或新版本的操作系统，焦点会放在技术开发上，让开发者更易开发应用。
It’s going to be different. It’s not a time when we have much in the way of launches of new products or a new operating system. Both on Android and Chrome, we’re going to focus this I/O on all of the kinds of things we’re doing for developers, so that they can write better things. We will show how Google services are doing amazing things on top of these two platforms.
其实之前有关 Google I/O 的传言，也可约略知悉一二。首先，有传言指 Google I/O 上会公布 Android 新版本 4.3，这个只是小版本跳升，没有大改动，就像 4.1 升 4.2 般。另外，有指今年 Google I/O 不会推出新手机，只会推出 4G LTE 版本的 Nexus 4，而平板亦只是推出 New Nexus 7，同样是上年的后继机，不是特别的新产品。
