现在的手机/平板都是以连接 USB 充电为主，若支援 Wireless Charging 就可以将装置放在无线充电板上充电。不过现在无线充电速度其实较慢，很多人最终还是选择以 USB 充电。
但 Freescale 研发了新 15W Qi 无线充电技术，可以大幅提升无线充电的速度。
Delivering 3x the power of common 5 W charging solutions, Freescale’s 15 W wireless offering provides efficient charging of larger form factor devices with higher capacity batteries, while enabling faster charging of smaller form factor devices by delivering higher power.
现有的无线充电都只是 5W，而 Freescale 的 15W 新技术就可以提供3倍的效能，这样就可以更短时间为装置完成充电。根据 Freescale 的新闻稿，一般配以 4000mAh 电池的平板，若以一般 USB 插头充电可能需要 8小时才完成，但若以 Freescale 的新无线充电技术就可以在数小时内完成。
这个新技术将会在 2015 年第一季推出市场。
