Niantic Lab 由最初的 Ingress 到 Pokemon GO，可说是让 AR 扩张实境游戏推展至新高峰。Niantic 除了为 Pokemon GO 推出更新外，2018年 Niantic 还会有很多新发展，包括之前已有消息的 哈利波特主题 AR 游戏，Niantic 还会为 Ingress 游戏改进，并以 Ingress Prime 之名推出。
Niantic 在 Youtube 贴出了 Ingress Prime 新 Trailer。Ingress Prime 会较之前的 Ingress 有大幅改进，包括用上了 Pokemon GO 游戏内的各项新技术，亦可以应用上 Apple’s ARKit 和 Google ARCore 技术，还有新技术可更有效侦测游戏 Cheaters。Ingress Prime 游戏亦会加入了改进的 Story Line，而画面以至动画效果都会大有改进。
Ingress Prime 已经开设了网站，内里只有简单几句讲解 “Change is coming”，不过可以预先登记电邮接收 Ingress Prime 的消息。
