在月初，Google 为 Nexus 和 Pixel 装置推出了六月份更新，不过有 Pixel 2 XL 用家郤表示，手机更新后出现问题，手机唤醒时出现明显迟缓的情况。
按下电源开关按钮，又或以指纹扫描尝试将 Pixel 2 XL 唤醒，手机往往需要数秒时才亮起屏幕醒过来。这个问题似乎只出现在 Pixel 2 XL，其他同样获得六月份更新的 Pixel, Pixel XL 又或 Pixel 2 都运作无误。
事隔了约一个星期，Google 方面对这个问题作出回应。他们表示已知悉 Pixel 2 XL 的问题，亦已找到解决方案，预计会在数星期内推出。现时，Pixel 2 XL 用家可以在设定内将 Ambient Display 设定成 “Always on”，藉以暂时避开这个问题。
We are aware that some Pixel 2 XL users are experiencing occasional delays with wake ups. We have now identified a fix which will be rolling out in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the problem can be worked around by setting the Ambient Display to “always on” on your Pixel 2 XL.
