Google I/O 每年一度都会在 5月举行，早前因应武汉肺炎情况，Google 已宣布取消 Google I/O 的实体活动。现在更进一步宣布今年I/O 大会全部取消，就连 Online Event 亦不会举行。
Online Event 都取消
随着武汉肺炎疫情不断扩展肆虐，美国加洲疫情爆发，当地亦采取更多防疫措施，包括 Shelter-in-place 要所有人尽可能留在家中。Google 为保障开发者, 员工和当地社区健康，并配合三藩市湾区的 Shelter-in-place 措施，因此宣布今年不会举行任何形式的 I/O 大会。
Out of concern for the health and safety of our developers, employees, and local communities — and in line with “shelter in place” requirements by the local Bay Area government — we sadly will not be holding an I/O event in any capacity this year.
Google 表示当前最重要是将协助大众应对当前的挑战，并保障大众安全。Google 仍会透过 Developer Blogs 和 Community Forums 分享 Android Updates。
