抗疫期间很多人都会留在家中，视像会议成为重要的沟通渠道，工作上跟同事开会, 老师遥距教学等都会用到视像会议。Google 表示旗下视像会议服务 Google Meet 将会免费开放予大众使用。
Today, we’re making Google Meet, our premium video conferencing product, free for everyone, with availability rolling out over the coming weeks.
Google Meet 一向以来都是付费的 G Suite 产品之一，只限予 G Suite 用家使用。现在就会开放予所有 Google Account 用家免费使用。免费服务将会在未来数星期内陆续推出，用家只要在网页前往 meet.google.com 又或透过 Google Meet Apps 就可以使用。免费版本的视像会议会有 60分钟时间限制，但 Google 已表明在 9月30日前不会执行此规限，即是现在可以开长过 60分钟的视像会议。
Until now, Meet has only been available as part of G Suite, our collaboration and productivity solution for businesses, organizations and schools. Going forward, Meet will be available to anyone for free on the web at meet.google.com and via mobile apps for iOS or Android. And if you use Gmail or Google Calendar, you’ll be able to easily start or join from there, too.
在此简单介绍一下 Google Meet 视像会议的功能。Google Meet 视像会议可以让过百人一同参与开会，用家可以使用电脑网页版又或 iOS 或 Android Apps 参与。用家除了可以使用镜头显示，亦可以分享萤幕画面，向会议展示投影片内容或其他文件。Google Meet 传输数据都会经过加密，以确保资料安全。下面还有 Google Meet Apps 的 Play Store 下载连结。
