Facebook 公布收购了 GIF 平台 GIPHY，并会将其并入至 Instagram 团队。
GIPHY 是一个 GIF 平台，除了有大量 GIF 可供搜寻使用，亦提供有 GIF Maker 让用家创作 GIF 图像，另外亦设有 API 让其他软件可搜寻 GIF 使用。不少社交媒体应用都有采用 GIPHY，事实上 GIPHY 有一半流量都是来自 Facebook 公司旗下的 Apps，当中有一半更是来自 Instagram。
Facebook 收购 GIPHY 后会将它归入至 Instagram 团队，两者会紧密配合以让用家可以更易找到合适的 GIF 和 Stickers 应用在 ig story 或 direct 内。
GIPHY, a leader in visual expression and creation, is joining the Facebook company today as part of the Instagram team. GIPHY makes everyday conversations more entertaining, and so we plan to further integrate their GIF library into Instagram and our other apps so that people can find just the right way to express themselves.
至于 GIPHY 本身仍会如之前般运作，继续提供其庞大的 GIF 内容，用家亦可照旧上载和制作 GIF 图像，API 亦如常开放予开发人员使用。
