Microsoft 的数码个人助理 Cortana 发展似乎不太理想，最新就公布将会在 2021年终止 Android 和 iOS 平台的 Cortana 服务。
Microsoft 表示将会在 9月7日首先终止第三方 Cortana skills 应用，之后到 2021年年初就会终止 Cortana App 在流动平台 Android 和 iOS 上的服务。Microsoft 指用家可以继续使用 Outlook Mobile 内的 Cortana 整合功能，以及 Teams Mobile App 的 Cortana 语音助，更有效管理电邮, 行事历, 等。
The first change is to end support for all third-party Cortana skills on September 7. Then, in early 2021, we’ll stop supporting the Cortana app for mobile (iOS and Android)
Cortana 在 2014年于 WIndows Phone 8.1 推出，之后 2015年就加至 Windows 10 系统，并在其他流动平台 Android 和 iOS 推出，之后亦在 XBox One 推出，亦有跟Harman Kardon 合作推出 Invoke 语音操控喇叭。但 Cortana 一路以来在市场上未太成功，其他对手如 Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri 以及 Google Assistant 都明显占优，而在流动平台上 Apple Siri 和 Google Assistant 在各自平台更有绝对优势，Cortana 要在这两个平台发展确实困难。
