Google 在五月初开放了 Google Meet 视像会议服务予大众免费使用，只要有 Google Account 就可以用到。Google 当时因应疫情需求所以开放予公众免费使用，免费版本的视像会议本身有 60分钟时间限制，但当时已表明在 9月30日前不会有此限制，免费用家也可以作最长 24小时的通讯。
转眼间已来到 9月尾，Google 最新就表示因应现时旅游仍受到限制，亲友聚会仍需透过网络进行，Google 就决定将 60分钟时限这项规定继续暂缓直至明年3月31日。即是话所有拥有 Google Account 用家可以继续免费使用 Googt Meet，而且不会有 60分钟时限，最长可作 24小时的通话。
