Google 在 2019年为 WearOS 改进，在操作界面加设资讯方块 Tiles 功能，用家在 WearOS 智能手表主画面右扫就可以查看不同的资讯方块，例如天气, Google Fit 等。
但这些资讯方块一直只限于 Google Apps 或厂商 OEM Apps 才可应用，Google 官方没有提供任何 API 供开发应用，其他第三方 Apps 开发商无从入手，只可以靠一些非正式方法夹硬设置 Custom Tiles。终于 Google 推出了 Jetpack Tiles Library Alpha 版本，可以让开发商为 WearOS 应用程式制作 Custom Tiles。

Google 更表示在今季内会向 WearOS 装置推送更新，届时用家就可使用 Custom Tiles。Google 亦在 Android Developers 网站为 Custom Tiles 提供了 Best Practices 让开发人员参考，以使 custom tiles 符合平台要求。
