现在市场上的串流影片服务都是以月费或按影片收费，在 Google Play Movies 则是以购买或租借影片形式，但 Google 计划推出新的形式，附设广告的免费电影。
XDA 网站从拆解 Google Play Movies App 内找到一些字串端倪，包括有 “Free with ads”, “Hundreds of movies, just a few ads”, “Watch free with ads”。

从这些字串可以得知，Google Play Movies 将会推出逾百部电影，可以让用家免费观赏但就附以广告。不过，现在仍未知 Google Play Movies 何时会推出这种看广告的免费电影。估计形式应该类似 Youtube 影片，在播放前会有广告，而播放中途亦可能会有广告。
大家会否接受这种新形式 “附有广告的免费电影” 呢？相信热爱电影的观众未必太受落，但对于一些不太肯花钱的用家，这个可能十分有吸引力呢。
